1st Maker Space Professional Development is a training and certification programme used for preparing educators to design, manage, and sustain makerspaces in schools and other educational settings.
The Maker Manager Program is a hands-on professional development course delivered by 1st Maker Space, in which participants complete practical projects, study makerspace operations, and graduate with a Maker Manager Certification. The curriculum covers the design and layout of makerspace facilities, selection and use of tools and equipment, project-based learning methodologies, and the day-to-day management of a maker environment.
A published syllabus and programme overview outline the structure of the training and the competencies addressed. The programme is aimed at teachers, librarians, technology coordinators, and other school staff who are responsible for establishing or running a makerspace within their institution.
Participants work through structured modules that combine instructional content with practical making activities, and certification is awarded on completion.
