Description

Alps is an educational analytics platform used for monitoring, benchmarking, and analysing student performance and value-added progress in secondary schools, sixth forms, and further education colleges.

The platform compares student outcomes against national datasets to produce value-added indicators, grading subjects and cohorts on a colour-coded scale from one to nine. Users can examine attainment at whole-school, departmental, subject, teaching group, and individual student level, with separate analyses for A-level, BTEC and other Level 3 qualifications, as well as GCSE and Key Stage 4 results.

Reporting tools include minimum expected grades, target setting, progress tracking against monitoring points, and intervention identification for underperforming students or groups. Alongside the core analytics product, Alps provides Connect Interactive for in-year monitoring using teacher-assessed grades, alongside training, consultancy, and continuing professional development for school leaders, heads of department, and data managers.

The service is used by secondary schools, sixth form colleges, further education providers, and multi-academy trusts across the United Kingdom and internationally, and integrates data exported from common management information systems and examination boards to generate its reports.
