ANTON Learning App
Description
ANTON is a free educational learning application used by primary and secondary school students for practising subjects such as mathematics, German, English, biology, physics, chemistry, history, geography, and music.
Available as a web application and as native apps for iOS and Android, the platform offers exercises, explanations, and interactive learning games aligned with curricula across multiple year groups. Content covers core subjects from year 1 through to secondary school level, with material structured into topic areas and accompanied by short instructional videos, multiple-choice tasks, drag-and-drop activities, and other exercise formats.
Users earn coins and stars as they complete tasks, which can be exchanged for in-app games. The service is operated by solocode GmbH and was originally developed as part of a research project at the Free University of Berlin, with funding from the European Social Fund.
ANTON provides accounts for individual learners as well as a teacher mode that allows educators to create classes, assign exercises, and monitor pupil progress. The platform is available in several languages, including English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, and Ukrainian, and is used in schools across a number of European countries.
All core learning content is offered without charge and without advertising aimed at children.
