AWS Educate
Description
AWS Educate is an online learning programme from Amazon Web Services that provides students aged 13 and over with no-cost access to self-paced cloud computing courses, hands-on labs, and career resources.
The programme offers a catalogue of introductory courses covering topics such as cloud fundamentals, machine learning, storage, compute, networking, and serverless architecture. Content is delivered through short video lessons, text-based modules, and practical exercises conducted within AWS-provided sandbox environments, removing the need for learners to create their own AWS account or provide payment details.
Upon completion of individual courses, participants receive digital badges that can be shared on professional networking platforms. In addition to technical training, AWS Educate provides career pathway resources, including job role descriptions, skills assessments, and links to a careers portal where learners can explore entry-level cloud positions.
The platform is aimed at secondary school pupils, further education students, university undergraduates, and adult learners who are new to cloud computing, and is used by educators as supplementary material within computing, IT, and digital skills curricula. Access is available globally through a web browser, with content presented in English and several additional languages.
