BrainPOP Jr. (K-3)
Description
BrainPOP Jr. is an educational content platform used for delivering animated learning resources, quizzes and interactive activities aimed at primary-aged pupils in Kindergarten through Year 3.
Designed for early primary classrooms, the platform provides curriculum-aligned content across subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, health and arts. Each topic is presented through a short animated film featuring recurring characters Annie and Moby, accompanied by supplementary materials such as easy and hard quizzes, draw-about-it and write-about-it activities, word walls, talk-about-it discussion prompts, belly-up games and printable worksheets.
Teachers can assign content to individual pupils or whole classes, and results from quizzes and activities are recorded for review. The service is typically accessed by schools through institutional subscriptions, with separate options available for families and homeschool use.
It includes accessibility features such as closed captions and read-aloud functionality to support emerging readers and pupils with additional needs. BrainPOP Jr.
integrates with several learning management systems and supports single sign-on through providers such as Google, Clever and ClassLink, allowing pupils to access content using existing school credentials. The platform forms part of the wider BrainPOP family of products, which also includes BrainPOP (for older primary and secondary pupils) and BrainPOP ELL for English language learners.
