Developed by Promethean, the platform allows teachers to build multimedia lessons that combine text, images, video, and interactive activities, which can then be delivered to pupils using a range of devices including laptops, tablets, and interactive displays. Lessons can incorporate polls, quizzes, and assessment activities that gather responses from students in real time, with results displayed to the teacher for immediate feedback on understanding.

The system supports the import of existing resources from PowerPoint, PDF, and other common file formats, and includes a marketplace where educators can browse, share, and download lesson content created by other users. ClassFlow includes classroom management tools such as the ability to send content to individual pupils or groups, assign tasks, and track participation.

Teachers can group pupils for collaborative activities and review assessment data to identify learning gaps. The platform integrates with interactive whiteboards and panels manufactured by Promethean, and supports single sign-on through Google and Microsoft accounts.

It is used by primary, secondary, and further education institutions to deliver synchronous and blended learning, and is available in multiple languages for international use.
