Description
ClassPoint is an interactive teaching add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint that adds audience response tools, annotation features, and gamification elements directly into existing presentations.
Installed as an add-in to Microsoft PowerPoint on Windows, the software extends standard slideshows with a toolbar that provides on-slide annotation, embedded web browsing, draggable objects, randomised name pickers, timers, and a digital whiteboard. Teachers can convert any slide into an interactive activity by inserting question buttons that prompt connected students to submit responses from their own devices through a join code or QR code.
Supported response formats include multiple choice, short answer, word clouds, image uploads, slide drawings, fill-in-the-blanks, and audio recordings, with results displayed in real time within the presentation. ClassPoint includes a gamification layer in which pupils earn stars, levels, and badges based on their participation, and a class leaderboard can be displayed during lessons.
Saved class lists allow teachers to track individual responses across sessions, and quiz results can be exported to Excel for record-keeping or assessment purposes. The product is developed by Inknoe and operates on a freemium model, with a free tier offering limited question activities per class and paid subscriptions removing those limits and unlocking additional features such as AI-generated quiz questions and saveable interactive response data.
