The organisation works with school districts in the United States, deploying a network of more than 350 certified near-peer coaches who operate alongside school-based counsellors. These coaches are typically recent graduates or current university students who provide one-to-one and group support to secondary school pupils on matters such as university research, application preparation, financial aid, and career exploration.

The model is designed to extend the capacity of in-house counselling departments, particularly in settings where counsellor-to-student ratios limit the level of individual attention available. Services are delivered through a combination of in-person and virtual sessions, with coaches assigned to partner schools to provide ongoing support throughout the academic year.

Activities commonly include assistance with the Common Application and Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), essay review, interview preparation, and tracking of student progress against college and career readiness milestones. Districts contracting with the service receive reporting on coaching activity and student outcomes, which can be used to demonstrate progress against post-secondary access targets.
