Description
CoolThink@JC is an educational initiative based in Hong Kong that provides computational thinking and coding education programmes for upper primary school students.
Established with funding from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the initiative delivers a structured curriculum focused on computational thinking, coding, and digital problem-solving skills for students in Primary 4 to Primary 6. The programme is developed and implemented in collaboration with The Education University of Hong Kong, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and City University of Hong Kong, and includes lesson plans, learning materials, and teacher training resources designed for integration into the local primary school curriculum.
In addition to classroom-based learning materials, CoolThink@JC provides professional development for teachers, parent engagement activities, and community events such as competitions and showcases. The initiative supports participating schools across Hong Kong with technical resources, pedagogical guidance, and assessment tools intended to help pupils develop skills in app design, block-based and text-based programming, and logical reasoning.
Bilingual content is available in English and Traditional Chinese to serve the local education sector.
