DataCamp Classrooms

Through the Classrooms programme, verified academic instructors can create a virtual classroom and invite students to join, granting each member six months of complimentary access to DataCamp's full content library. The library covers topics including Python, R, SQL, spreadsheets, statistics, machine learning, data visualisation, and generative AI, delivered through a combination of short video lessons and browser-based interactive coding exercises.

Instructors can assign specific courses, projects, practice exercises, or guided learning tracks, and monitor individual and cohort progress through a dashboard that reports completion rates, time spent, and assessment scores. The service is intended for use in higher education and secondary school contexts where data literacy, programming, or quantitative analysis form part of the curriculum.

Access is granted to instructors at accredited educational institutions following an application and verification process, after which classroom invitations can be distributed by shareable link or email. Student accounts created through Classrooms operate within the same web-based learning environment as DataCamp's commercial subscribers, with progress, certificates of completion, and exercise history retained on the platform.

The programme is administered by DataCamp as part of its DataCamp Donates initiative, which also extends access to non-profit organisations and certain workforce development partners.
