Ditto
Description
Ditto is a screen mirroring, digital signage, and alert software platform used for wireless display sharing and content management on televisions, projectors, and monitors in schools and businesses.
Developed by Squirrels, the platform allows users to wirelessly share content from laptops, tablets, and mobile devices to connected displays without requiring cables or proprietary hardware. It supports mirroring from devices running Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Chrome OS, and is designed to function across mixed-device environments commonly found in classrooms and meeting rooms.
Receivers can be installed on small computing devices such as Apple TV units or dedicated hardware connected to existing displays, converting standard screens into wireless presentation endpoints. In addition to screen mirroring, Ditto provides digital signage functionality, allowing administrators to schedule and publish images, videos, web pages, and other media to displays when they are not being used for mirroring.
The platform also includes an alert system that can override displays to broadcast emergency notifications or important messages across an organisation. Management is handled through a web-based console, which provides centralised control over receivers, user permissions, content scheduling, and alert configuration.
Typical use cases in education include classroom instruction, lecture theatres, communal area information displays, and campus-wide emergency communication.
