The application delivers short, interactive exercises across four core areas of literacy: reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and spelling. Content is structured around the English national curriculum and is aimed at children typically aged between five and eleven.

Each pupil works through a personalised programme, with the platform adjusting question difficulty based on individual performance to target areas requiring further practice. DoodleEnglish is produced by Doodle Learning and is available on iOS, Android, and through a web browser, with offline access supported on mobile devices.

The service offers separate interfaces for pupils, parents, and teachers, allowing progress to be monitored and reports to be generated. It is used both in school settings as a supplementary literacy resource and at home for independent practice, and is offered alongside companion products covering mathematics, tables, and spelling within the wider Doodle Learning range.
