Figma for Education

The programme provides eligible students and educators with complimentary access to Figma's Professional plan features, including unlimited Figma design files, FigJam online whiteboards, and prototyping tools. Verification is required through a process that confirms enrolment or employment at a qualifying secondary or higher education institution, with approved accounts granted access for a defined period that can be renewed upon re-verification.

The tools operate within a web browser and through desktop and mobile applications, allowing collaborative work on shared files in real time. Within educational settings, the platform is used for teaching subjects such as user interface and user experience design, graphic design, digital media, and computer science, as well as for general classroom activities including brainstorming, mind mapping, lesson planning, and group project collaboration.

FigJam provides templates and components aimed at classroom use, such as sticky notes, voting tools, and timers, while Figma Design supports the creation of interactive prototypes and visual assets. The service includes access to community-shared resources, including templates and plugins contributed by other educators and designers.
