i-Ready Literacy Tasks

Developed by Curriculum Associates, the assessment is designed to complement the i-Ready Diagnostic by providing educators with detailed information about how students apply literacy skills in extended reading and writing tasks. The tasks present students with texts and prompts that require them to demonstrate comprehension, analysis, and written response, generating evidence of literacy proficiency beyond what is captured by adaptive multiple-choice assessments.

Results are reported through the i-Ready platform, allowing teachers to review student performance alongside other diagnostic data. The tool is intended for use in primary and secondary education settings, supporting teachers in identifying specific areas of strength and need within reading comprehension and written expression.

Educators can use the resulting information to guide instructional planning, differentiate teaching, and monitor progress over time.
