Operating as part of the wider Jamf platform for Apple device management, the service combines DNS-level content filtering with network threat prevention to block access to harmful, illegal or age-inappropriate material. It applies filtering policies to managed devices both on and off the school network, including iPads, iPhones, Mac computers, Chromebooks and Windows devices, allowing institutions to maintain consistent safeguarding controls when pupils take devices home.

Categories of blocked content include adult material, gambling, weapons, drugs, self-harm and other classifications aligned with school safeguarding requirements. The service integrates with Jamf School and Jamf Pro mobile device management systems, allowing administrators to deploy filtering profiles to devices alongside other configuration policies.

Reporting tools record browsing activity, blocked attempts and security events, supporting designated safeguarding leads in identifying pupils who may be at risk. The platform is designed to assist schools and multi-academy trusts in meeting statutory online safety duties, including the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance in the United Kingdom and the Children's Internet Protection Act in the United States.

Additional features include protection against phishing sites, malware domains and command-and-control servers, with filtering applied at the network layer rather than requiring on-device browser extensions.
