LGfL Educational Technology Services

Originally established to serve London schools, LGfL supplies broadband connectivity with built-in content filtering, network resilience, and cloud backup capabilities. The service includes provision for multi-academy trusts (MATs), with features covering connectivity infrastructure, security filtering compliant with statutory online safety duties, and periodic capacity upgrades as part of the subscription.

Schools subscribing to the service receive access to a range of associated educational technology resources and digital tools alongside the core network connection. In addition to broadband provision, LGfL offers ancillary services including cloud-based backup, safeguarding tools, and access to curriculum content and software licences negotiated on behalf of member schools.

The platform supports primary, secondary, and special schools, as well as federations and academy trusts operating across multiple sites. Technical support, network monitoring, and compliance with UK Department for Education filtering and monitoring standards form part of the service portfolio, enabling schools to meet statutory requirements relating to online safety and Prevent duty.
