Description

Linewize Monitor is a student computer monitoring application used by schools to detect digital safeguarding concerns through real-time, human-moderated analysis of on-device activity.

The software operates on school-managed devices and analyses student activity across applications, websites, and on-screen content. When potentially harmful behaviour is identified, such as indicators of self-harm, bullying, radicalisation, or exposure to inappropriate material, alerts are reviewed by human moderators before being escalated to designated safeguarding staff at the school.

This moderation layer is intended to reduce the volume of false positives that would otherwise reach Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) and other pastoral staff. Linewize Monitor forms part of the wider Linewize product suite from Qoria, which includes web filtering, classroom management, and parental engagement tools.

The system supports both on-network and off-network monitoring, meaning student activity can be assessed whether devices are used at school or at home. It is typically deployed alongside other digital safeguarding measures to support compliance with statutory duties such as Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) in England and the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) in the United States.

Reports and incident records are made available to safeguarding teams through an administrative dashboard for review, follow-up, and audit purposes.
