Description

Locker is a cloud-based integration platform used for connecting school Management Information Systems with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, and Active Directory to automate user provisioning, distribution lists, and timetable synchronisation.

Drawing data from a school's Management Information System (MIS), the platform automates the creation and maintenance of user accounts, security groups, distribution lists, and email aliases across Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments. It synchronises timetable and class information to provision Microsoft Teams class teams and Google Classroom classes, ensuring that staff and student memberships remain aligned with the current academic structure throughout the school year.

The service handles directory synchronisation with on-premises Active Directory and cloud-based identity providers, managing user lifecycle events such as joiners, movers, and leavers based on MIS records. Locker is aimed at primary, secondary, and further education institutions in the United Kingdom that need to maintain consistent user and group data between their MIS and productivity platforms without manual administrative intervention.

Additional functions include the provisioning of shared mailboxes, OneDrive and SharePoint permissions, and the automation of routine identity management tasks typically carried out by school IT teams.
