MatataStudio Artist Add-on

Designed to extend the functionality of MatataStudio's screen-free coding robots, the Artist Add-on provides components that allow the robot to hold and use drawing implements such as pens or markers. Pupils program movement sequences using MatataStudio's tangible coding blocks or companion applications, and the robot traces those movements onto paper to produce geometric shapes, patterns, and illustrations.

The add-on is aimed at early years and primary education settings where coding is introduced through hands-on physical activities rather than screen-based environments. The accessory is typically used in classrooms to combine computational thinking with art and mathematics activities, supporting cross-curricular lessons that link sequencing, directional language, angles, and geometry with creative expression.
