Microsoft Sway

Part of the Microsoft 365 suite, the application allows users to combine text, images, videos, and embedded content into responsive layouts that adjust automatically to different screen sizes. Content can be sourced from local files, OneDrive, Bing, YouTube, and other online services, with built-in design templates and styling options that handle formatting decisions such as typography, colour schemes, and layout.

Users sign in with a Microsoft account or a work or school account associated with Microsoft 365. In educational settings, the tool is used by teachers to produce lesson materials, classroom newsletters, and reference resources, and by students to create assignments, project reports, and digital portfolios.

Finished Sways can be shared via a web link, embedded in websites or learning management systems, or exported to formats such as Word and PDF. Privacy settings allow authors to restrict access to specific viewers, an organisation, or make content publicly available.

The application runs in modern web browsers and is also accessible through the Microsoft 365 application launcher.
