MLC Whiteboard App

Developed by The Math Learning Center, a nonprofit organisation based in the United States, the application provides a virtual canvas where users can work with a range of mathematical tools and manipulatives. Features include fraction bars, number lines, geoboards, pattern blocks, and other visual models commonly used in primary and secondary mathematics instruction.

Users can draw, write, and annotate directly on the workspace using pens and text tools, and arrange objects to demonstrate problem-solving strategies or mathematical relationships. The Whiteboard App is part of a wider suite of free mathematics applications produced by The Math Learning Center, which also develops the Bridges in Mathematics curriculum.

It is available as a web-based application and as a downloadable app for tablets and desktop devices, supporting use both in classroom settings and for remote or independent learning. Teachers commonly use the tool for whole-class demonstrations on interactive displays, while pupils may use it for completing tasks, recording reasoning, or sharing mathematical explanations.

Work created within the application can be saved and exported, allowing it to be incorporated into lessons, assessments, or pupil portfolios.
