Mosaic by ACT is a social emotional learning (SEL) curriculum used for delivering structured lessons and assessments to students in kindergarten through grade 8, designed around the CASEL framework of core competencies.
Developed by ACT, the curriculum is featured in CASEL's Effective SEL Programs Guide and is structured around the five CASEL core competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. The programme provides lesson content, classroom activities, and instructional materials intended for use by teachers in primary and middle school settings, with content organised by grade band to align with developmental stages from kindergarten through grade 8.
The platform incorporates assessment tools that measure student SEL competencies and track progress over time, providing educators and administrators with data on student development in social and emotional skill areas. Reporting features allow schools and districts to review aggregate outcomes and identify areas requiring additional instructional focus.
