NAIS Market View is a data and mapping platform used by independent schools in the United States to analyse demographic, enrolment, and market data for student recruitment and strategic planning.
Developed by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the platform combines geographic mapping tools with demographic, household income, and school-age population data drawn from public and proprietary sources. Users can visualise prospective student catchment areas, identify feeder neighbourhoods, and examine the distribution of families that match selected criteria across regions of interest.
The mapping interface is built using Mapbox and allows schools to overlay their existing enquiry, applicant, and enrolled student data against external population datasets. The service is aimed at admissions, marketing, and senior leadership staff within NAIS member schools and supports activities such as targeted outreach, open day planning, and longer-term strategic enrolment management.
Functionality includes saved comparison views, area-based reporting, and the ability to benchmark a school's market position against demographic trends in its surrounding region. Access is provided through the NAIS single sign-on service, and the platform integrates with other NAIS data products and member resources.
