Description

The News Literacy Project Resource Library is an online collection of educational materials used for teaching news literacy, media analysis, and critical evaluation of information sources to students in middle and secondary education.

Maintained by the News Literacy Project, a non-partisan education non-profit, the library hosts hundreds of free teaching resources accessible to educators after registration. Materials include lesson plans, classroom activities, videos, infographics, posters, and quick reference guides covering topics such as identifying misinformation, recognising bias, understanding the role of journalism, evaluating sources, and navigating social media content.

Many of the resources are drawn from or complement Checkology, the organisation's digital learning platform, and are organised to support both standalone lessons and extended units of work. The resource library is intended for use by teachers, librarians, and other educators working with learners in upper primary through secondary settings, with materials typically aligned to subjects including English, social studies, civics, journalism, and media studies.

Educators can browse resources by topic, format, or grade level and download materials for classroom use. The library also signposts professional development opportunities, newsletters, and supplementary publications produced by the News Literacy Project to support ongoing instruction in news and information literacy.
