Oktopus

Developed by Qwizdom and distributed by Boxlight, the software combines whiteboarding tools, lesson authoring, and student response system functionality within a single application. It includes annotation tools that can be used over any application or document on a connected display, alongside features for importing existing materials such as PowerPoint presentations, PDFs, and images.

The software supports the creation of interactive activities, quizzes, and polls that can be deployed during lessons to gather responses from students using connected devices. Oktopus is designed for use with interactive flat panel displays, interactive whiteboards, and projectors in classroom environments.

Student participation can be enabled through dedicated response handsets or via the Qwizdom Notes+ application installed on tablets, smartphones, or laptops. The platform records assessment data and generates reports on student responses, which can be exported for further analysis.

Compatible with Windows and macOS, the software is used in primary, secondary, and higher education settings to facilitate teacher-led instruction and formative assessment.
