Reading Coach

The application combines AI-generated content with a curated library of levelled passages from ReadWorks, allowing learners to practise reading material matched to their ability and interests. Users can generate new stories on demand, work through passages at appropriate difficulty levels, and focus on words they find most challenging.

The platform tracks progress over time and includes engagement features such as unlockable characters and settings. Reading Coach is designed for learners who have already developed basic word decoding skills and are working to build broader literacy competence.

Reading Coach supports multiple languages, including Spanish through its ReadWorks integration, and offers features such as Guided Practice and Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) support for integration with learning management systems. The application is part of Microsoft's education product suite and includes functionality for skills insights, progress monitoring over time, and theme customisation.

It can be used independently by learners or assigned by educators as part of structured reading instruction, with progress data available to support teaching decisions.
