Reading Plus

The platform delivers personalised reading instruction based on an initial adaptive assessment that evaluates each student's silent reading rate, comprehension level, and vocabulary knowledge. Students are then assigned reading materials and activities matched to their individual reading level, with content spanning fiction, non-fiction, and informational texts across a range of subject areas.

The system uses a guided reading tool that presents text in segments to encourage focused reading and to support the development of reading stamina and silent reading fluency. Reading Plus is used by primary and secondary schools, including academies and multi-academy trusts in the United Kingdom, as well as schools in other countries.

Teachers access a dashboard that provides reports on student progress, time spent on tasks, comprehension scores, and reading level progression. The platform includes vocabulary instruction, comprehension activities, and writing components, and is designed to be used alongside classroom literacy teaching.

Schools typically deploy the programme as part of intervention strategies for struggling readers or as a whole-class supplementary literacy resource.
