ROBOROBO Educational Robot Kits

The Robokit range comprises several graded kits (typically Robokit 1 through Robokit 4) that progress in complexity, allowing learners to construct mechanical models and programmable robots using interlocking plastic parts, metal frames, motors, sensors and a central controller board. Components include DC motors, servo motors, infrared and touch sensors, LEDs, and a programmable main board that can be controlled via a block-based visual programming environment as well as text-based languages such as C.

Each kit includes structured lesson materials and assembly guides covering a range of model projects, enabling teachers to deliver sequenced lessons in mechanical design, electronics, and computational thinking. Produced by ROBOROBO Co., Ltd., a South Korean educational robotics manufacturer based in Seoul, the Robokit series is used in schools, after-school clubs, private academies and robotics competitions in over 50 countries.

The kits are aimed at pupils from approximately age seven through secondary level, with content aligned to introductory robotics curricula and coding education frameworks. Typical classroom use covers topics such as gear ratios and mechanical transmission, sensor input and actuator output, conditional logic, loops, and autonomous robot behaviour.
