School Diversity Week

School Diversity Week is an annual UK initiative organised by the charity Just Like Us that provides primary and secondary schools with free LGBT+ inclusive lesson plans, assembly resources and activity ideas to celebrate diversity.
Run by Just Like Us, the LGBT+ young people's charity, the initiative takes place each year and invites schools across the United Kingdom to participate in a week of activities focused on LGBT+ inclusion and the wider celebration of diversity. Participating schools receive access to a pack of free educational resources, which typically includes lesson plans, assembly templates, tutor time activities and supporting materials designed for use with pupils of different age groups, from early years through to secondary school.
The resources are intended to support teachers in delivering age-appropriate content on themes such as identity, equality, families and inclusion, and are mapped to relevant areas of the curriculum including PSHE and Relationships Education. Schools register through the Just Like Us website to receive the materials, and the charity also provides guidance for staff, suggestions for involving parents and carers, and ideas for whole-school events.
The initiative is open to state schools, independent schools, faith schools and special schools, and is used by both primary and secondary settings as part of their wider work on pupil wellbeing and inclusion.
