Description

Seesaw is a digital learning platform used for student portfolios, classroom activities, and family communication in primary education settings.

Designed primarily for early years and primary school classrooms, the platform provides tools for teachers to assign learning activities, capture student work, and share progress with parents and guardians. Pupils use the application to record their learning through photographs, videos, drawings, voice notes, and text entries, building an ongoing digital portfolio of their work over the course of the academic year.

Teachers can review submissions, provide feedback, and use a library of pre-built activities aligned to various curriculum areas including literacy, numeracy, science, and creative subjects. The platform includes separate interfaces for teachers, students, and families.

Family members access a connected app that delivers updates on their child's classroom activity, including announcements, messages, and individual learning posts. Administrative features support school and district-wide deployment, with options for class management, content moderation, and integration with student information systems and single sign-on providers such as Google, Microsoft, and Clever.

Seesaw operates on web browsers and as native applications for iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, and Chromebook devices, and offers both free and paid subscription tiers for individual classrooms, schools, and districts.
