ST Math

Developed by MIND Education (formerly MIND Research Institute), the program is designed for students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade and is used as a supplement to existing mathematics curricula. Lessons are delivered through a sequence of interactive puzzles featuring JiJi the penguin, a recurring character that progresses across the screen as students solve problems correctly.

The visual-first approach presents mathematical concepts through animations and spatial-temporal reasoning before introducing symbols and language, allowing students to engage with mathematics without relying on text-heavy instructions. The platform covers topics aligned to common mathematics standards, including number sense, operations, fractions, geometry, measurement, and algebraic thinking.

Teachers access reporting dashboards that track student progress, time on task, and concept mastery, with the data used to inform classroom instruction and identify areas where students require additional support. ST Math is delivered through a web-based interface and is used in schools and districts across the United States, with implementation supported by professional development resources and educator training materials provided by MIND Education.
