Starry Night

The software is integrated with Starlab's Digital Starlab portable planetarium platform and provides simulations of stars, planets, constellations, and other astronomical phenomena. Content is aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and is delivered through an interface designed for use by classroom teachers without specialist astronomy training.

Lessons cover topics including astronomy, geology, and related Earth and space science subjects, with material that can be projected onto the interior of an inflatable dome to create an immersive viewing environment for pupils. Starry Night allows users to view the sky from any location on Earth at any point in time, enabling demonstrations of seasonal changes, lunar phases, eclipses, and the apparent motion of celestial objects.

The software is used by primary and secondary schools, museums, and other educational settings as part of structured science curricula. Teachers can navigate between pre-prepared lessons and free-form exploration of the simulated sky, and the platform is intended to support science instruction across a range of age groups within a single classroom resource.
