Description
Synergy Assessment is an assessment management module within the Synergy Education Platform used for creating, administering, scoring, and reporting on student assessments in K-12 school districts.
Developed by Edupoint Educational Systems as part of the broader Synergy Education Platform, the module provides tools for building item banks, constructing tests, scheduling assessment windows, and capturing student responses across formative, interim, and summative assessment types. It integrates with the Synergy Student Information System (SIS) so that rosters, demographics, and student attributes flow directly into assessment workflows without requiring separate data imports.
Administrators can configure assessments at the district, school, or classroom level and assign permissions according to staff roles. Scoring supports a range of item types, including multiple choice, constructed response, and rubric-based items, with options for online delivery as well as scanned paper responses.
Results are aggregated into reports that show performance by student, class, school, and demographic subgroup, with alignment to state standards and local learning objectives. The module is used by school districts in the United States for standards-based reporting, progress monitoring, and informing instructional decisions, and is typically deployed alongside other Synergy components such as the SIS, gradebook, and MTSS modules.
