Synergy Special Education
Description
Synergy Special Education is a special education management module within the Synergy Education Platform used for documenting, tracking, and managing individualised education programmes, 504 plans, and related services for students with disabilities in K-12 schools.
Part of Edupoint's Synergy Education Platform, the module provides functionality for creating and maintaining Individualised Education Programmes (IEPs), 504 plans, evaluations, progress monitoring, and meeting documentation. Case managers and special education staff can record student goals, accommodations, related service minutes, and assessment data within a single system.
The software supports compliance workflows including parent notifications, consent forms, eligibility determinations, and timeline tracking for federally mandated processes under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The module integrates with the broader Synergy Student Information System, allowing demographic information, attendance, grades, and discipline records to be shared between general education and special education staff without duplicate data entry.
Reporting features generate state and federal compliance reports, including data required for child count submissions and post-school outcome surveys. Workflow tools route documents for electronic signature and provide audit trails of changes made to student records.
The system is used by school districts, charter schools, and educational service agencies, primarily in the United States, to coordinate services between teachers, therapists, administrators, and parents.
