TD Snap
Description
TD Snap is an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) application used for enabling individuals with speech and language disabilities to communicate through symbol-based page sets accessible via touch, eye gaze, or switch input.
The application provides a range of page sets designed for different communication needs and user abilities, including Core First for symbol-based communication, Text for literate users who prefer typing, and Motor Plan for users with motor planning challenges. TD Snap is compatible with Tobii Dynavox dedicated speech-generating devices as well as iPads, Windows tablets, and Android devices, allowing flexibility in how the software is deployed across home, school, and clinical environments.
Used by speech and language therapists, special educational needs coordinators, teachers, and families supporting learners with conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and aphasia, TD Snap includes features for vocabulary customisation, page editing, and progress monitoring. The platform supports multiple languages and voices, and integrates with companion tools for remote programming and data sharing between professionals and caregivers.
Educational settings use TD Snap to support inclusion, curriculum access, and the development of functional communication skills for pupils requiring AAC provision.
