Description
TeacherEase is a cloud-based learning management and standards-based grading platform used by schools to plan curriculum, assess student progress against learning standards, and communicate results to parents.
Developed by Common Goal Systems, the platform provides tools for implementing standards-based learning (SBL) in classrooms. Core functionality includes a standards-based gradebook, curriculum mapping aligned to state and national standards, rubric creation, formative and summative assessment management, and standards-based report cards.
The system supports searching and aligning content to standards such as the Common Core State Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and various state-specific frameworks including those for Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. TeacherEase also functions as a learning management system, offering features for assignment distribution, learning target tracking, data analytics, and committee collaboration.
The platform is designed to operate alongside existing student information systems and can integrate with any SIS. Additional modules cover parent communication portals, professional development resources, and consulting services to support schools transitioning to standards-based grading practices.
The product is part of a broader suite that includes SchoolInsight for student management, with shared services such as training, customer support, and implementation assistance through the SmartStart programme.
