Description

The SHARP System is a school safeguarding software platform used for enabling students to report concerns and incidents anonymously to designated staff members within their school.

Operating across more than 340 schools, the platform provides a web-based reporting interface where pupils can submit information about issues such as bullying, abuse, mental health concerns, online safety incidents, and other safeguarding matters. Reports can be submitted anonymously or with identifying information, and are routed to nominated staff such as designated safeguarding leads, pastoral teams, or senior leadership.

The system is designed to supplement existing safeguarding procedures by providing an additional channel that may be more accessible to students who find face-to-face disclosure difficult. Functionality includes categorised reporting forms covering different concern types, case management tools for tracking and responding to submissions, and record-keeping features to support statutory safeguarding obligations.

The platform is aimed at primary and secondary schools in the United Kingdom and is configured per institution, with branding and reporting categories adapted to the school's requirements. Supporting materials are provided for assemblies and pupil awareness campaigns to inform students about how to use the reporting tool.
