Description

TidyUP is a course cleanup tool for the Canvas learning management system used for identifying and removing unused or redundant content from Canvas courses.

Developed by Cidi Labs, the tool scans Canvas courses to detect items such as unused files, unpublished pages, orphaned assignments, quizzes, discussions, and other content that is not linked or referenced within the course structure. Instructional designers, course administrators, and faculty can review the findings through a dashboard interface that categorises content by type and usage status, allowing bulk selection and deletion of items that are no longer required.

The tool is delivered as an LTI integration that operates within the Canvas environment, supporting both individual course cleanup and bulk operations across multiple courses at institutional scale. Typical use cases include preparing courses for the start of a new term, reducing storage consumption, archiving completed courses, and maintaining consistency across course shells in higher education and further education settings.

TidyUP is part of the Cidi Labs product suite, which provides additional administrative and design tools for Canvas, and is offered through institutional licensing arrangements.
