Description
Tuva is a data literacy platform used for teaching K-12 students data exploration, analysis, and visualisation through interactive graphing tools, real-world datasets, and curriculum-aligned mathematics and science lessons.
The platform provides a library of structured lessons spanning mathematics and science for K-12 learners, including content aligned to programmes such as Illustrative Mathematics, Amplify Desmos Math, OpenSciEd, and STEMscopes. Resources are organised into separate mathematics and science libraries, with a dedicated Tuva Jr.
collection offering 135 lessons and 72 practice activities aimed at younger students. Lessons are categorised by type, including data stories, activities, and tasks, with both free and subscription-based content available.
Tuva includes interactive data tools that allow students to upload datasets or work with sample data to create graphs, perform statistical analysis, and interpret results. The platform supports teachers in delivering statistics and data science instruction through ready-made datasets and lesson plans.
Additional regional content is offered, such as a Florida-specific mathematics library, and the service is used by schools and educators to integrate data literacy into existing curricula at primary, middle, and secondary levels.
