Virtual Stickerboards
Description
Virtual Stickerboards is a collaborative online activity platform used for creating shared digital images, where multiple participants work simultaneously or asynchronously on their own devices to place stickers and complete a common picture.
The platform operates as a digital adaptation of the physical StickTogether sticker activity, allowing organisers to choose an image that participants then build together by placing coloured stickers on a grid. Sessions can be run synchronously, with participants contributing in real time, or asynchronously, where contributors join at different times to complete the image.
The system is designed to scale from small groups of a few participants up to several hundred users working on the same board. Virtual Stickerboards is used in educational settings for classroom engagement activities, team-building exercises, ice-breakers, and remote or hybrid learning environments.
Each participant accesses the activity through their own device via a web browser, removing the need for physical materials. The tool is offered by StickTogether Products, LLC, which also produces the physical sticker mosaic kits that the virtual version is based on.
Typical applications in schools include collaborative art projects, group activities in distance learning contexts, and interactive sessions designed to promote participation across larger cohorts.
