Wisdom: The World of Emotions

Wisdom: The World of Emotions is a social and emotional learning (SEL) curriculum designed for preK to 2nd grade classrooms, providing play-based lessons that teach emotional awareness, empathy, and self-regulation.
Developed by Better Kids, the programme is structured around the five core SEL competencies identified by CASEL: self-awareness, social awareness, responsible decision-making, self-management, and positive relationships. The curriculum delivers ready-to-use teaching resources and lesson plans intended for use by classroom teachers, school counsellors, and early years practitioners working with children aged approximately four to eight years old.
Lessons use a play-based pedagogical approach, incorporating storytelling, characters, and interactive activities to introduce concepts related to emotional literacy and interpersonal skills. The materials are designed for integration into existing classroom routines and do not require specialist SEL training to deliver.
The programme is used by schools internationally and provides educators with sequenced content covering topics such as identifying emotions, managing feelings, understanding others' perspectives, and developing cooperative behaviours.
